Doing our bit to help in the Ukraine Crisis

Think Pieces

We were approached by the charity Refugee Assist and asked if we would offer our help and support to a family whose lives have been disrupted by the brutal war in Ukraine. Refugee Assist is a small charity that helps refugees in the Wirral area. We said we would be more than happy to help a family in need and also support a local charity at the same time.

Through Refugee Assist we were put in contact with a local family who are hosting Alyona and her 4-year-old daughter Anastasia who have fled Ukraine.

Once we were in contact, we spoke with Alyona and asked her what she wanted and needed and how we could assist her. Back in Ukraine, Alyona had a photography business but had to leave all of her equipment behind. We supplied Alyona with a brand new camera, laptop, and tablet to allow her to start her photography business again. We also reached out to many of our connections via Linked In promoting Alyona’s business and asking for their support.

It has been wonderful to be able to support a family in need and we are currently in the process of being paired up with another family through Refugee Assist

We firmly believe it’s important for us as a company to give back. It’s been a pleasure to be able to help out even on a small scale, to help in a very real sense to help Alyona and her daughter.
