What’s involved?

Skills-Tu Life Extended Course – Assessment plus ten half day sessions (32 Guided learning hours)

Skills-Tu Life Short duration Course – Assessment plus 5 half day sessions (14 Guided learning hours).

Skills-Tu Life is an accredited, educational course designed to improve well-being, cognitive skills & outcomes for people who hold the lowest expectations for themselves.

The course takes into account the various challenges (barriers) that people face improving their well-being including:

  • Self-esteem/Low confidence
  • Difficult circumstances
  • Social exclusion
  • Learning difficulties
  • Knowledge of working benefits
  • Stigma
  • Substance misuse
  • Lifestyles

Skills-Tu Life reflects latest thinking, encouraging ambition and belief in an individuals’ ability to overcome their problems. Developing motivation, promoting independence and personal responsibility will enhance and develop the skills of individuals to improve the quality of their lives.

Ideal for those more distanced from the labour market, Skills-Tu Life delivers bedrock skills in resilience and critical thinking, preparing an individual for the ETE market place once armed with an improved positive outlook.

  • Units delivered: Developing Personal Awareness of Own Needs and the Factors that Contribute to a Fulfilled Life
  • Developing Life Skills to Build Personal Resilience
  • Developing a Personal Resilience Plan

NOCN Level 1 Award in Building Personal Resilience – 14 Guided Learning Hours

  • Units delivered: Critical Thinking Skills to Enhance Personal Decision Making
