The main purpose of your job is to provide support to the Strategic Service Lead in the delivery of the Ambassador Service. Ensuring the effective delivery of the Ambassador Service and enhancement of relationships with our partner agencies.
The Ambassador Lead will play a key role in an integrated approach to the core functions of:
- Supporting the Strategic Service Manager
- Delivering the Ambassador Programme consisting of accredited Information, Advice and Guidance Training and additional training on Domestic Abuse Awareness and Risk and Escalation
- Managing a caseload of Ambassadors and service volunteers
- Working towards and achieving annual and course targets and outcomes
- Training and developing volunteers who will support the service, identifying and completing their ongoing training, and supervisions
- Working with ambassadors in a group and 1-2-1 setting using SMART planning to help them achieve their goal of volunteering or creating their own initiative within Stockport borough and on to sustainable employment
- Identifying and training volunteers for the peer support element of the service
- Identifying any learning needs with the ambassadors and referring them to further education
- Collecting case studies to evidence the positive outcomes
- Organise and deliver graduations for completed learners
- Delivering advocacy
- Attend the bi-weekly service meeting in unit 1 with updates on the Ambassador programme
- Building and maintaining positive and pro-active relationships with partner organisations and other services with Stockport
- Promoting the Ambassador programme within Stockport
- Augmenting existing services
- Embedding joint working practices and positive change
- Creating a new pathway into services that has an open door
- Capturing Service User Feedback – Evaluations
- Implementing and co-ordinating sustainable community recovery initiatives
- Managing and developing assertive outreach in the community
- Production of information and marketing resources
- Mapping locally available social prescribing activities to promote within the service
- Identifying gaps in provisions
- Co-producing fluid service groups to meet local needs
- Developing suitable methods, processes and mechanisms to fill the gaps in provision
- Integrating within Tier 3 Drug and Alcohol services to manage and maintain suitable referral numbers to the Ambassador Programme Training
- Ensuring company compliance to national safeguarding standards.

Key duties and responsibilities:
- To support the Strategic Service Manager in the implementation of the Ambassador Service
- Maintaining levels of Ambassador Individuals for the service to function and meet obligations to partners
- To manage and develop Ambassadors to an excellent and proficient standard
- To ensure that routine tasks are completed by assigned people
- To support the development and collation of the Ambassador Programme and Service evidence base through implementation of data collection structures, data collation, presentation, analysis and reporting of information.
- To liaise with partner agencies and others in building and maintaining effective relationships that support business growth and the collation of contract, performance and outcome information.
- To promote and support the mission, vision and values of the company at all times, providing a quality service and treating all those with whom they come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner.
- To be aware of and compliant with all company policies and procedures.
- Any other duties appropriate to the role as tasked by the Senior Management Team.
Person specification
Essential Criteria:
- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary, multi-agency environment including the public, voluntary and private sector providers and commissioners.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including representatives of commissioners, purchasers, partner agencies and customers.
- Demonstrate project management skills and experience.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed literacy and numeracy skills and a clear understanding of transactional analysis.
- Highly proficient in the use of software packages such as SAGE ACT, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word to interpret data and create presentations and/or reports of the highest standard.
- Hold a current driving licence and/or have access to a form of transport which will permit the applicant to meet the post requirements in full.
