An accredited programme designed to equip people of all ages and backgrounds with essential digital skills, empowering them to thrive in today’s fast-paced and ever-evolving world.
Our accredited ‘Digital Citizenship’ programme shifts mindsets around using technology in today’s digital landscape by promoting respectful and responsible online behaviour. Through practical and accessible group learning sessions, we empower participants to improve their digital competencies, inspiring them to expand their opportunities and confidently participate in our technology-driven culture.
Delivered over four 3-hour-long sessions, our programme equips learners with basic digital literacy skills. Topics include (but are not limited to) safe internet browsing, creating and managing email accounts, identifying online scams and threats, social media usage, and basic hardware maintenance. Alongside acquiring these skills, learners will actively apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios during sessions, reinforcing newly acquired skills through practical activities.
Over the course, you will learn:
Confront personal and common misconceptions, fears and stereotypes about the use of digital devices and technologies. Sessions will highlight the importance of digital competency in daily life, work, and communication and how a lack of digital skills may limit opportunities and growth.
Understand the impact your words and actions can have on others, as well as recognising the potential consequences of irresponsible online behaviour.
Recognise the common signs of suspicious or malicious online activity as well as understanding the potential dangers of oversharing personal information online.
Develop effective web browsing techniques and gain a clear understanding on how to setup and maintain one or more email accounts.

“The course has helped me well and I have now been able to build on my confidence with going online. The most important thing that I have learnt from the course is learning more about windows 10 and I learnt about Team meetings. I understood the course very well.”
