Quality and Qualifications

Our work is quality assured across all our activities ensuring we continually deliver services at a high standard and are recognised as being an NOCN centre of excellence

With over 15 years of experience delivering accredited courses across many sectors of the UK’s public service provision, we have amassed considerable experience in ensuring our activities are professionally managed and delivered.

Quality assurance underpins all Company activity and we strive to ensure our accreditations and kite marks exceed expectations for the most robust due diligence processes.

We have over 10 years accreditation to the ISO 9001 standard.

Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our procedures is essential in ensuring that our customers always receive the very best service available. Where we fall short we have procedures in place that record the shortcoming and ensure the issue is addressed and quality improvement is achieved.

Key to this accreditation is the continuous auditing of procedures to ensure that we:

  • Say what we do
  • Do what we say
  • When we fall short, we put it right

These simple principals underpin all our QA activities, our customer service commitment, and our beliefs in transparency at all times.

Information Security Management is imperative to our business. All staff operate on a secure encrypted remote desktop terminal with servers located within the UK. We undertake due diligence on all external software to ensure our IT infrastructure is compliant and is certified to ISO 27001 standard.

We are proud to be part of the movement of change for disabled people. Being Disability Confident Leaders, we are not only promoting equal opportunities for disabled people throughout out entire business from recruitment all the way through to appraisal, but we are also encouraging other business to think differently about disability and actively take action to improve how they recruit, retain, and develop disable people.

We are accredited by the National Living Wage Foundation and proud to be taking a stand to ensure our employees can earn a wage that is enough to live on. Our staff are our lifeline and becoming a National Living Wage Employer was an easy decision for us and demonstrates our continued commitment to our staff.

By signing up to the Employer Domestic Abuse Covenant, we have taken a pledge to create opportunities to support women affected by Domestic Abuse to enter or re-enter the workplace.

Being a peer-led organisation, we ensure the staff delivering our Domestic Abuse courses in particular, have lived experience and are often recruited from our learner base.

We provide mentoring services to empower women to recognise their value and skills, provide a safe environment when training to learn skills and gain skills, confidence and nationally recognised qualifications.

We are the leading NOCN college delivering both national and bespoke level 1, 2, 3, and 4 qualifications. Our quality mark recognises our commitment to quality assurance and we have direct claim status for most of our qualifications.

Our qualifications are achievements our learners can be proud of, recognising the inherent skills they have refocussed positively and new skills developed that are attributable to progression in both employment and education.

All our course delivery staff have extensive personal lived experience in the sectors they teach in. It is this direct personal experience that makes our engagement figures so strong, but experience alone is useless unless it is underpinned by quality standards training.

Key to achieving and driving improvements, our staff teams enjoy a robust and comprehensive induction training program, refreshed annually to ensure staff are always at the forefront of new statutory and non-statutory requirements.

As well as our extensive induction training, all our course delivery staff complete:

  • EAT Level 3 – The replacement of PTTLS, EAT provides our staff with a robust baseline standard for classroom delivery.
  • NOCN Level 3 Internal Auditing – ensuring that staff understand how to support learners to evidence and reflect on their learning.
  • Level 1 – Basic but essential first aid training to ensure safety in our classrooms.
  • Safeguarding Level 2 minimum – ensuring our staff are skilled to ensure that safeguarding issues are identified and acted upon in an appropriate and professional way.
