This Ends Here ®

An accredited programme for those involved with Domestic Abuse Perpetrator services to develop thinking skills that change behaviour and help them to live free from abusive behaviour

The course, delivered over a minimum of eight, three-hour sessions, provides the learner with a structured understanding of what drives their behaviours and actions, their feelings and insecurities, along with credible and highly specific skills to CHANGE these behaviours and actions.

It is these skills, knowledge, and tools that enable the learner to recognise the consequences of their conduct, therefore encouraging full responsibility for their own choices whilst also removing the fear of change.

The final part of the course is the development of a personalised and meaningful plan of change, including specific actions to be taken, embedded, and reviewed.

The course can be delivered both in community and custodial settings with delivery typically offered across five consecutive days, although it can be facilitated weekly, during evening or weekends to ensure accessibility.

Hard-hitting, thorough and yet pertinent to the problem in hand, “This Ends Here” is highly cost-effective and boasts commencement and completion rates of well over 75%, with cessation of abuse rates over 70% of those who completed.

Understanding how corrupt and unacceptable beliefs are formed and embedded is critical to exposing the fallacy of those beliefs. Once a person understands why they have behaved in a certain way, changing the outlook for future behaviour is easy to do.

On the course, you will learn:

To understand all forms of behaviour that constitute abuse, including but not limited to, psychological, physical, sexual, financial, and emotional abuse that encompass both control and/or coercion.

Learn and understand how your abusive behaviour and language only allows you to reinforce your own deep-rooted insecurities and negative beliefs, whilst justifying your actions.

Learn to recognise your insecurities and thoughts that drive this behaviour and lead to the belief that this behaviour will somehow provide “survival of the relationship”.

Understand why you feel the desire to exert power and control to feel a sense of security within a relationship.

Implement skills to recognise conditioned beliefs, language, and behaviour whilst allowing yourself to implement rationale thinking to build a new belief system and changed actions.

Understand the rights that everyone is entitled to within a relationship and also what responsibilities you have. Recognise the many different relationships you hold in life and focus on the positive attributes you have within these which can be seamlessly transferred.

Learn to focus on the positive strengths and qualities you possess and recognise how these can be used in maintaining healthy relationships.

Develop skills into self-reflection to plan effectively for the future.

Develop skills to plan for your future free from abusive behaviour and encourage self-development.
